my work.
the city and it’s people
Most of these pictures were taken between 2018-2021. It was a time when great upheaval and social change was sweeping the nation. I’ve tried to document the world less seen. Some photos just focusing on texture and color. If you pay attention you can see growing discontent in some of the images but you also see artists representing hope, Most of these photos i am unaware of who the artists are but i am working to change that and cite their work. The thing about living in such a vibrant city is that you never know what you will come across. One day it’s a bride in Penn Station and the next is a skateboarding dog. This is just a small sampling of my work but I am working to expand and put up more pictures and stories of a city I love so dearly.
natural world.
As you explore my work you’ll notice many macro pictures of orchids and flowers and plants of all varieties. As an exercise its something that I find put me in a certain zen state of being. I find exploring the botanical gardens I am not lacking for inspiration. again, I am going to research and label these specimens. My favorite image in that group is a pink orchid that looks like a bird in flight. It’s amazing to see the detail and the shockingly bright pink that makes the image stand out.
